Calling all cheesecake lovers! In observance of National Cheesecake Day the decadent cheesecakes of the American restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory, will be half off on Monday, July 30, 2018.
There’s nothing quite official about National Cheesecake Day other than the fact that the American established restaurant The Cheesecake Factory tends to observe the dessert holiday every year — and why not, we add?
The rich creamy dessert has a place in American. Originating in Greece centuries ago the flavor of cheesecake was transformed when brought to America by European settlers. Thanks to a New York dairy farmer who accidentally created cream cheese, coupled with those who added it to cheesecake the dessert was forever changed.
Fast forward to modern day time and cheesecake has taken on many different recipes ranging from plain cheesecake to fruit-infused cheesecake to you name it and they have it type of cheesecake. So much so that a restaurant chain with over 210 restaurants nationwide was created in honor of the mouth-watering dessert.
The Cheesecake Factory, started by mother Evelyn Overton, had a humble beginning as a small cheesecake shop in Detroit Michigan. But it was Overton’s son that help make the restaurant the well-known name it is today when he opened a modest salad-and-sandwich shop in Beverly Hills that had a whole page dedicated to various cheesecakes.
With such a rich history, it sounds only fair that the dessert restaurant would observe the national cheesecake holiday. At all their restaurants in the United States and Puerto Rico, The Cheesecake Factory will be offering half off on every slice of cheesecake per person that is dining in-house.
Showing some extra love for the cheesecake fanatics, The Cheesecake Factory will be releasing two new Flavors on National Cheesecake Day. The two new desserts are the Cherry Chocolate Cheesecake and the Cinnamon Swirl Cheesecake. Add that to their already 30 plus selection. Enjoy!
