Are you a RuPaul queen who just can’t stop themselves from binging on everything Drag Race? Well, there’s one more series to add to your list of Drag Race shows.
RuPaul’s Drag Race started off as a small production drag competition show on the LGBT network Logo. The show was a hit and every season more and more people tuned in. The show became so wildly watch by everyone including heterosexuals that the budget grow and spinoffs sprouted up like RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
The continual fame of the show watched by gay and straights alike eventually captured the attention of a mainstream cable television network and by the 10th season of the original show, RuPaul’s Drag Race was on the vh1 network. Now, both RuPaul’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars are aired on vh1
A new spinoff series will be taking Drag Race contestants back to their roots at the LGBT network Logo. The new show called Out of the Closet will air as a Logo digital series. Out of the Closet brings former Drag Race contestants back on the television screen to talk drag fashion while also giving viewers a peek into their drag closets.
The first season that airs on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 12pm will feature Miss Reigning Drag Diva Sasha Velour. Velour will take you into her personal closet of drag while he talks about what fashion means to drag and what drag means to fashion. In his own words, “The idea that drag and fashion would be separate has never made any sense to me.”
Out of the Closet first season has a total of six episodes. The drag divas to follow Velour’s premiere episode are Acid Betty, Aja, Alexis Michelle, Kimora Blac and Manila Luzon.
Catch the new series on Logo’s website every Tuesday at 12pm starting April 17, 2018.
