The Indy Frontrunners meet Saturdays at 10 a.m. at Butler Fieldhouse parking lot and on Tuesdays at the Indy Zoo Parking Lot. Walkers and runners are welcome. On the third Tuesday of each month, they go to a restaurant afterwards. Later in June on Saturdays the start time changes to 9 a.m.
Also, don’t miss the Rainbow 5k Run/Walk on June 64Be a part of the Rainbow 5K Run/Walk for Pride on June 6! If you’re a seasoned marathoner, or just starting out, this is a great event, whether you’re trying to beat your personal best or simply stay active. All proceeds from the Rainbow 5K Run/Walk will support the Indy Pride Resource Center Fund and HIV education through the Indiana AIDS Fund, a program of The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis.

Indy Tennis meets Saturdays at 10 a.m. in Riverside Park for two hours of play. All abilities welcome. Some team members went to the first ever tennis meet in Cincinnati on May 8-10. They are also planning for the Detroit meet in August followed by their 11th Annual Indy Tennis Tournament in September. For details see the national tennis site, www.glta.net.
Like softball, Indy Pride’s Circle City softball club kicked off the season May 31 in Clermont. They have several teams that play Sundays this summer. They adjourn for dinner afterwards at “bar of the week.” Everyone welcome. See the Indy Pride website for details.
The July 4th Indy bowling tournament is coming to town in July. Details in the next edition.
Also this summer at least one Indianapolis track and field star is headed to Stockholm for the OutGames. It’s a European version of Gay Games.
