Causes and common factors of OCD:

The causes of OCD are still unexplored. But there are some factors that are responsible for OCD.

Past life events:

Some studies suggest that OCD occurs due to some bad experience or traumatic events in a past life. Like a child who faced bullying, trauma and abuse may develop some obsession and compulsive gestures to overcome the fear of those traumatic events. These fears of past life tragic events triggered the anxiety and stress level in the individual which worsened the OCD.

Biological factors:

Some biological factors include changes in the structure and chemical composition of the brain.

A brain scan describes that a certain part of the brain is different from the people who are suffering from OCD compared to the nonsufferer. Moreover, it has also been seen that the blood flow patterns are different in people suffering from OCD. Some studies also suggest that chemical activity in the brain is also responsible for it. تحميل لعبة طاولة مصرية 31 The lack of a chemical called serotonin is responsible for OCD. بتواي Also Check Cleveland clinic OCD treatment.

Genetic factors:

There are some genetic factors behind OCD. A study suggests that a person who is affected with OCD is more likely to have a family member who also has OCD as compared to a person who does not have OCD. While there is a lot of research behind the genetic factors of OCD, still researchers have failed to identify the genes which are responsible for Obsessive-compulsive disorder. While on the other hand there are some cases in which sufferers have no family history of OCD and a particular case of identical twins in which one individual has anxiety symptoms due to Obsessive-compulsive disorder while the other twin was unaffected by it.

It simply suggests that genetics has a role in OCD but it is not a single cause of it. There are some external factors that initiate obsessive and compulsive behavior in an individual.

Cognitive factors:

Many researchers believed that OCD occurs due to the misinterpreted thoughts of the victim.

Generally, every individual faces intrusive thoughts but a person with OCD misinterprets these thoughts which often results in an unusual moment. The misinterpreted thoughts commence the obsessive behavior which leads to the development of compulsive behavior. This compulsive behavior occurs to resist or mitigate obsessive thoughts.

Behavioral factors:

An individual with OCD learns certain responses or behaviors to tackle the anxiety level. This behavioral response may begin after the traumatic event. Once the individual thinks that certain things are associated with his fears and anxiety so he tries to mitigate those fears by doing certain activities which initiate the compulsive behavior

Anxiety factor:

Anxiety may be one of the reasons behind OCD, but there is no clear evidence that due to anxiety OCD occurs. But some studies say that traumatic events in the past like bullying, abuse, or any stressful event are the reason for anxiety in the individual and this long-term anxiety triggered the OCD. Medical experts suggest that early symptoms of stress and anxiety may be addressed immediately. If left untreated then it may worsen OCD.

Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder:

There are various treatment options for OCD. Some of them include;

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy:

Cognitive behavior therapy Cleveland is one of the effective therapy to treat OCD. It involves changing the way an individual thinks, behaves, and believes. This therapy includes two different techniques, Exposure, and response. In exposure, the individual is exposed to certain conditions and scenarios which are responsible for triggering its stress level. Repeated exposure to certain conditions will eventually help him to mitigate the stress level. The response of the individual is the key, consistent exposure to the situation does not only reduce the stress level but also helps in avoiding compulsive behavior.

Anxiety management approach:

The anxiety management approach is very helpful to lower the anxiety level. This approach requires various practices like regular exercises, breathing exercises, yoga, and mediations.
